What hours are you open?
Our normal business hours are Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. to 12 noon. Quite often we are here both earlier and later. You are welcome to call to see if someone is going to be around when you would like to come. We may not know sometimes until the day before.

Can I bring my kids with me?
You are bringing your kids at yours and theirs risk. We ask that you exercise extreme caution. We do not want young kids crawling on the wood pile. Also, please keep them in your close proximity. The mill can become a dangerous place to an unaware child.

How much do you think I can get into this pick-up or trailer?
This question reminds me of a story. I told the guy who came in with a small Datsun type pick-up that I thought he might be able to get roughly a third of a cord on. As I watched him, it reminded me of a similar situation. It’s like going to the restaurant and getting one of those small dishes to make a one time pass through a huge salad bar. It’s like you definitely take your time placing different foods on that small dish until you end up with a small little mountain that you have to balance carefully to get it back to your table. Now what's wrong with that? Nothing. Especially when you’re hungry. Back to the guy with the small pick-up. This guy ended up putting a cord of wood on that little rig. I would have never believed it had I not watched him do it. The moral to this story is, it is pretty hard for us to tell you how much wood you can put on your rig. When your finished loading, if you're unsure how much you have, we will then measure it up. I think you’ll find we’re easy to get along with.

What kind of wood is it?
It is mostly doug fir. We do get some hardwoods mixed into it occasionally.

Is your wood dry?
It will depend on how long ago we processed it. Some will be dry and some will be green. The unique thing about our wood is that most of the bark has been removed. That has several advantages. The wood will dry faster than normal. You virtually eliminate the messy bark problems in your wood shed and more importantly in your house! The wood is neater and easier to handle.

Can I bring my own saw and cut the wood myself?
We no longer let people saw wood at the mill. It was not only a safety issue for the person running the saw, but also for other customers that came in to load wood.

How often do you have wood to sell?
We have run out of wood in the past. There is never any guarantee that we will have it. Firewood is a byproduct for us. As long as we recover our costs in handling it and we are processing wood, we will have it for sale. Buy it as soon as it is practical for you.

Why do you sell your wood so cheap?
How did this question get so far down on the list? It should have been number one or number two at least? We want to provide a good deal on our wood. We realize that having to sort through the pile at times takes some effort. We want it to be worthwhile. We also want your business again. PLEASE tell others about us. THANK YOU!
